Aloha Ski School

Aloha Ski School

About Us

I have always had a love for riding.

My initial passion was mogul skiing, a discipline in which I practised professionally. Through training and competing, I amassed a broad knowledge of skiing techniques and progressed naturally to become a skiing instructor, gaining my qualification in 2002.

From 2005 -2009, as the Freeski Team Manager for the brands Dynastar and Coreupt, I represented and coached important, world-class riders including Aurelien Ducroz, Mike Riddle, Candide Thovex and Gus Kenworthy. This work enabled me to be present at all the major freeski competitions such as the X Games Aspen & Tignes, Dew Tour, Free Ride World Tour, World Championship in Japan, OG in Vancouver and on the Half Pipe Worldcup circuit.

The invaluable experience I gained during this time helped me develop great communication, teaching and technical mountain skills. The versatile nature of the job transferred to many other areas such as human resources, sports management and increased technical knowledge. My goal is to now use these skills to encourage and to help others enjoy the mountains. Aloha Ski School and our supporting partner, the Quicksilver brand, would like to introduce you to our concept and invite you to discover and share in our passion.

Why Aloha?

The “Aloha”spirit refers to the friendly and caring attitude for which the Hawaii Islands and people are so famous for. The real meaning of Aloha in Hawaiian is that of Love, Peace, and Compassion. It’s the guidelines of how to live – a life of Aloha is one when the heart is so full it is overflowing with the ability to influence others around you with your spirit. More than that, it refers to a powerful way of solving any problem, of achieving any goal and overcoming any mental and physical obstacle you may encounter.

As well as ''Hello'' or ''Goodbye'' or ''Love''. Aloha is the sharing (alo) of joy (oha), of life energy (ha) in the present (alo).
